Sustainability & ESG
Every system we design, install and support replaces diesel and fumes with clean, reliable solar power. Sustainability isn't a report we publish once a year; it's the outcome of the work itself — measured in tonnes of carbon avoided, naira saved, and lives brightened across Africa.
Our North Star
The United Nations' seventh Sustainable Development Goal calls for universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy by 2030. In much of Africa that goal is still out of reach: millions live with unstable grids and expensive fuel. Solfa Power exists to close that gap — one home, one clinic, one community at a time.

SDG 7 in practice
We treat SDG 7 as an operating standard, not a slogan. Affordability is engineered into every proposal through right-sized systems and flexible financing — Direct Purchase, Lease-to-Own and Energy-as-a-Service — so cost is never the barrier between a family or business and clean power. Reliability is built in with quality components, professional installation and lifelong support.
Because our systems replace generators and grid dependence, they advance a chain of connected goals — and we track our contribution against each one.
Explore how we deliver →A wider ripple
Reliable power is foundational infrastructure. When it arrives, health, learning, livelihoods and the climate all move forward together. Here is how our work maps to the SDGs we contribute to most directly.
Our Healthcare Energy Solutions keep clinics, labs and maternity homes running — protecting vaccines, powering equipment and safeguarding patient outcomes during outages.
Through Light Up a School, solar lamps and energy clubs give students light to study after dark and a safer, brighter learning environment.
Women & SME empowerment is a core Brighter Impact focus — clean power lets women-led enterprises trade longer, safer and more profitably.
Affordable energy cuts diesel costs and downtime for businesses, while our SEEP programme creates recurring income for local energy entrepreneurs.
Community energy access projects bring resilient, locally owned power to towns and rural areas the grid has left behind.
Every kilowatt of solar we deploy displaces fossil-fuel generation, cutting carbon emissions and local air pollution at the source.

Carbon & the transition
Nigeria spends an estimated ₦3.5 trillion on diesel every year — money burned into fuel, noise and fumes. Petrol and diesel generators are among the largest sources of avoidable carbon emissions and local air pollution across African cities and towns.
Solar replaces that. Each system we commission quietly cuts a household's or business's carbon footprint for its entire 20-plus-year life — and pairs seamlessly with battery storage so clean power is available day and night, not just when the sun shines. That is the clean-energy transition, delivered one rooftop at a time.
Solar-plus-storage removes reliance on generators and volatile grid supply, eliminating the emissions and fuel spend that come with them.
A site assessment and energy audit precede every design, so clients install exactly the capacity they need — no oversizing, no waste.
Quality components and end-to-end aftercare keep systems performing for decades, maximising the lifetime carbon savings of every install.
Social impact
Our Brighter Impact Initiative turns corporate social responsibility into measurable outcomes: solar-powered schools, clinics and communities. It's where our sustainability commitment becomes something you can see on the faces of the people we serve.

Solar-powered rural healthcare access, delivered with the Cardinal Healthcare Foundation, bringing reliable power to the clinics that need it most.
Governance & quality
Good governance is what keeps a sustainability promise honest. We hold ourselves to clear standards across engineering, transparency and accountability so that every client, partner and community can trust the power we deliver.
Systems are professionally designed and installed to protect people, property and equipment. Site assessments, correct sizing and quality components come standard — never shortcuts.
Clear pricing and honest options — Direct Purchase, Lease-to-Own and Energy-as-a-Service — so clients choose with full understanding of lifetime cost and value.
We walk with customers from energy audit to install to lifelong support, standing behind performance long after the panels are on the roof.
We track the outcomes that matter — naira saved, communities reached, lives touched — and hold our Brighter Impact work to the same evidence-based standard.
